Moving Forward In 2009
December 2, 2008 - January 31, 2009
The Bayne Street Project (TBSP) supports the statement of the U.S. Broadband Coalition entitled, "A Call to Action for a National Broadband Strategy". A comprehensive national Broadband Strategy will benefit every American citizen.
TBSP has authorized the Coalition to identify the Bayne Street Project publicly as a supporter of the statement. The "Confirmation of Support" for "Call to Action" was signed December 23, 2008 by the Chairman - George M Sistrunk.
In other news, because of continuing problems with the U.S. economy, tightening credit, rising unemployment and uncertainty concerning the financial viability of local businesses and government agencies in Orangeburg, South Carolina, the Bayne Street Project will curtail field activity until further notice effective January 2, 2009. During the interim, the Chairman will continue investigating ways and means to help families in Orangeburg and around the country earn part time income and acquire home computers.
The program concepts alluded to in a previous post are in the final stages of development and should be ready before March 2009.
